Dina Lasic is a sustainability-driven professional with an academic background in construction and architecture, and a strong focus on green building, energy efficiency, and sustainable urbandevelopment. She holds a Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering and a Master’s degree in Architecture, and has gained international education and professional experience across Bosnia and Herzegovina, Austria, the Czech Republic, the United Kingdom, Switzerland, and Australia.

She completed her Master’s thesis in cooperation with the Brno University of Technology on the topic “Sustainable Urban Development in Historical Areas – Case Study of Pocitelj.” As part of her master’s studies, she conducted research work in Brno focused on traditional and sustainable mortars and building materials, examining their performance, compatibility with historical structures, and environmental impact.

Her professional interests are centered on reducing the environmental impact of the built environment through energy efficiency, sustainable materials, and smart technologies. Early in her career, she gained hands-on experience in construction projects, material analysis, site supervision, and infrastructure-related work, which provided her with a strong technical foundation and a comprehensive understanding of the construction sector.

In 2017, Dina co-founded the first startup in the Balkan region dedicated to the development and production of intelligent thermostats. This marked a transition toward leadership and innovation, and she has since been serving as Chief Operating Officer (COO), overseeing operations,coordinating multidisciplinary teams, and leading the development of IoT-based solutions thatenhance energy efficiency and sustainability in everyday life.

In 2019, she co-founded a sister company in Switzerland focused on delivering a comprehensive 360° IoT-based heating management solution aimed at building decarbonization.

Through her work, Dina bridges architectural thinking, sustainability principles, and strategic leadership, actively contributing to the transformation toward smarter and more sustainable cities and buildings.
