The international Burch University hosted the officials of the Delegation of the European Union in Bosnia and Herzegovina, among whom was Deputy Head of the Delegation of the European Union in Bosnia and Herzegovina, Khaldoun Sinno, who visited the International Burch University to promote the exchange of students in the field of higher education, Erasmus + programs and acquaintance with the capacities of the International Burch University as well as observed the construction development of the student pavilion.
Besides the Rector of Burch University, prof. Dr. Damir Marjanović, Deputy Head of the EU Delegation, Khaldoun Sinno also had the opportunity to speak with the vice-rector Sanela Klarić, who introduced the guests with the building development of a Burch student pavilion which is currently in construction phase.
Opinions on the education sector in BiH, the future of student exchanges, and the development of higher education in BiH were discussed as well. The Rector of Burch University, prof. Dr. Damir Marjanović, emphasized that the interesting project of the Burch student pavilion attracted many students from the region and the world, and that this project is of crucial importance especially for students of architecture faculty.
Rector Marjanović also emphasized that the representatives of the European Union repeatedly pointed out that the student pavilion is one of the interesting projects that should certainly be addressed, and consequently the mutual communication between the International Burch University and the Delegation of the European Union, which was also a logical sequence of events after successful visit of Ambassador Lars-Gunnar Wigemark to the International Burch University from a few months ago.
In addition, it was discussed that International Burch University will create conditions for better cooperation with partner institutions in Europe and BiH in the upcoming period, with emphasized development priorities. Also, those projects that unite all universities in order to create better conditions for the development of higher education in BiH show the highest success and progress in the work of students.
